A scene from Cambridge Market 1909
All dressed up on a Summers day posing in front of
Hobson's Conduit Fountain. In the background is the Central Hotel,
also called the Central Temperance Hotel.
The fountain structure was removed to Brookside but the
stone foundations are still present in the centre of the market and are a
favourite place for tourists to eat their fresh prawns, baked potatoes and
German sausages all available from nearby stallholders.
